Hi cuties!

Welcome back to Elanor and bade! Today’s post is a guide to choosing the perfect nail polish colour (to match your skin tone!)

Painting your nails is not only fun, but it can also add a pop of colour to your outfit- as long as it’s the correct colour. Choosing the perfect nail colour is hard, some nail polishes go better with fairer skin, others with dark skin. So this post is here to help you NAIL the perfect colour for any occasion!

Because who doesn’t want a nail polish that is totally flattering to their skin?

Make your hands look younger:

Choose colours that aren’t too immature or neon, the colour should have sharp colour pigmentation and be more elegant, thus making your skin more vivid.

FAIR SKIN: try retro blush pink

MEDIUM SKIN: try coral orange

OLIVE SKIN: try hot orange

DARK SKIN: try bright mint blue

Make your hands look more tan

FAIR SKIN: deep ocean green

MEDIUM SKIN: hot coral pink

OLIVE SKIN: Hot orange

DARK SKIN: lemon yellow

To make your hands look bigger:

FAIR SKIN: retro blush pink

MEDIUM SKIN: An off-white tinted with a grey and blue

OLVIE SKIN: Opaque whitish beige

DARK SKIN: Powdery Pink Nude

Make your hands look slimmer:

FAIR SKIN: Sheer pink

MEDIUM SKIN: Sheer nude

OLIVE SKIN: Pink Beige

DARK SKIN: Toffee Beige

People with FAIR SKIN are best suited to blue-based reds, pink polish with rosy undertones, or a vivacious violet shade. A blush pink, fierce fuchsia, or a rich red nail polish will appear especially elegant against porcelain skin.

People with MEDIUM skin; your skin colour is in-between a very pale skin colour and a warm olive hue. Try a milky pastel hue. The impact of pastels on fair skin can be lost, but on medium skin colours liked a muted buttercup, violet or orchid are quite becoming

People with an OLIVE COMPLEXION; your skin can carry many colours but variations of nude are the best. Natural shades will pick up the brunette tones in your complexion for a beautiful effect.

People with a DEEP complexion, most nail polish hues work beautifully with deep complexions. Persimmon polish pops against ebony skin tones, Try a summer jet-set adventure in a fiery orangey red polish.

So that’s it for today’s post lovelies! Thank you so much for reading! I do hope you enjoyed it and learnt a little something!

If this post wasn’t really your cup of tea make sure you suggest some posts for me to write in the future on my Instagram, twitter or via email (links are below)

Now go out and slay with your perfect nail colour!
